Our work in the field of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law includes advising both debtors and creditors. We have given legal advice to debtors in all stages of the insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, from the filing of the petition before INEDOCPI (Regulatory Body in charge of conducting and overseeing insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings) to soliciting the protection of the debtor's assets ("automatic stay") as well as negotiating and securing with creditors the approval of the Global Refinancing Agreement, among others.

 

We have also counseled creditors in such proceedings on issues such as recognizing their credits before INDECOPI, and attending and voting on their behalf in creditor meetings (whenever we were given powers of attorney to do so), among others.

 

Finally, our Firm frequently collaborates in the preparation of comments and proposals aimed at improving current legislation on insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings.
