Our Firm provided legal advice to COPRI (now "Pro-Inversión", Commission in charge of fostering privatizations), in the sale of the state-owned shares in the second largest telecommunication company of Peru, "Tele 2000," to the BellSouth Group.

 

Our Firm also advised OSIPTEL (Supervisory Body for Private Investments in Telecommunications) in overseeing the activities of BellSouth as it became Telefónica del Peru, Peru's first competitor to access the telecommunications market.

Estudio Ferrero Abogados has assisted Doe Run Peru S.R.L. in negotiations and amendments of contracts entered into with Electroandes S.A. for the supply of electric energy to Cobriza mine and its smelting complex at La Oroya. In addition, we advised Jorbsa Eléctica S.A. - JORBELEC, a company of Gloria Group, in relation to certain problems derived from the acquisition of four power companies through privatization agreements.
