Our Firm represents companies in the hotel and catering business to which we provide various legal services, such as advice on hotel management contracts, strategic alliance contracts, and all taxation issues related to these business activities, among others. In this respect, our lawyers have given advice to Inversiones La Rioja S.A., owner of the JW Marriott Hotel & Stellaris Casino, as well as to the Hotel El Olivar and other SONESTA hotels throughout Peru.

 

In the book "Invirtiendo en el Perú" (Investing in Peru), published in the nineties by Promperú, our partner Augusto Ferrero contributed the section on Tourism, analyzing the laws and rules that apply to this sector.

We have advised companies in the gaming sector, such as Sodak Gaming Inc. in the operation of slot machine gaming stores nationwide, as well as the CONACTRA (National Commission on Casinos and Slot Machines), the governmental agency in charge of overseeing the gaming business in Peru.

 

Finally, we have advised Internacional Lotto Corp on its US$ 60 million investment in Peru for the set up of a lottery in consortium with the association for the disabled.
